Welcome to Lansdowne Crescent Primary School

By Lansdowne Crescent Primary School

Welcome to our school. Lansdowne Crescent Primary is located in the western suburbs of Hobart, nestled snugly in the foothills of Mt Wellington and the slopes of Knocklofty Reserve. Our school was established one hundred years ago in 1916. Today, Lansdowne is a medium sized school with classes running from Kinder to Grade 6 and in 2016 it had a population of about 415 students and 40 staff. Being located so close to bushland, we have an impressive student developed bi-lingual, interactive trail in Knocklofty Reserve. If you are interested in walking the trail, it begins at the end of Poet’s Road, a fifteen minute walk from here. At the moment, you are at the start of our newly developed School Trail. Venture along this trail to discover a little bit about what we do here, through words, pictures and voice. You will find information about our fascinating history, our quest for sustainability, our links with Indonesia, the wild visitors that inhabit our school at night, and much, much more. Use your smart device to scan the QR codes on each bollard which will take you to our website at www.landtosea.net.au
